The School of Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic Clinician Educator with a particular interest in research to serve as Director of the Science of Medicine course.

The Science of Medicine is a required longitudinal course for all graduate medical students at UNC. The course focuses on the science behind medical advances, exploring the stages of basic research, translational research, and clinical research. The course also examines the ethics of science, funding and publication.

Strong candidates for this position will be innovative and creative with a background in research and education. The course will undergo significant changes under the leadership of this person. The position is funded at 10% FTE up to the Medical School education cap and requires attendance at monthly Individualization Phase meetings (second Tuesday of the month, 3:30-4:30 p.m.).
