Now JSS PDA is a college under JSS S&T University.

The Vice Chancellor in charge of JSS S&T University, AN Santosh Kumar said that the students of JSS PDA have expressed their wish to continue their studies beyond the degree.

Thus, the BE in CS was launched exclusively for them, in the SJCE.

He said that following new trends in education and career options, nine additional new courses have been added.

“They are: MSc in Analytical Chemistry, MSc in Biotechnology, MSc in Physics, MSc in Polymer Science, MSc in Industry 4.0 or Smart Manufacturing, MTech in Cybersecurity, MSc in Electronic Media, MSc in Filmmaking, BE in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,” he said.

“JSS S&T University has increased its engagement with industry. It has signed memorandums of understanding at the national and international levels. Open days will be organized, with a view to engaging with society and also with aspiring students, when they can visit the campus and see the infrastructure and facilities of the laboratories,” he said.

“An exclusive multimedia resource center will be opened with a state-of-the-art studio. Lectures by professors of the university will be shot in all subjects and uploaded on the website and also on YouTube, as an added incentive for students and also for the benefit of all interested people,” Kumar added.

He said: “The SJCE, which was established in 1963, celebrates its Diamond Jubilee this year. A series of conferences and seminars would be organized throughout the year to mark the occasion”.

Kumar said that in order to attract talented and intelligent students, the JSS Entrance Test (JET) will be held from this year.

He said it will be both offline and online and centers will be opened in major cities across India. The JET will be in line with entrance tests conducted by institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
