Scott Bakula Delivers NBC Ranch Drama, As Network Plots Quantum Leap Sequel


A restart of quantum leap may be in the works at NBC, but it’s not the project that’s in dispute Scott Bakula this pilot season. (According to DeadlineBakula currently has no involvement with the reboot.)

Instead, Bakula was tapped to lead Uninterruptedan NBC drama about “three dynastic ranch families on California’s central coast [that] make love and war in a passionate struggle for survival, ultimately paving the way for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the national rodeo championship.

Bakula’s character, Ash Holleran, is portrayed as a retired rodeo champion trying to maintain the ranch that has been in his family for generations. “With encroaching neighbors and his winery and hiking businesses barely turning a profit, Ash and his extended family will be forced to dig deep to find a path back to the life they once knew,” the line says. official login.

Uninterrupted is written and produced by Shaun Cassidy. Director Bronwen Hughes will also EP the pilot. Previously announced series regulars on the ranch drama include Amanda Payton, Anna Wood, Delon de Metz and Oluniké Adeliyi.

Best known for playing Quantum Leap’s Dr. Sam Beckett from 1989 to 1993, Bakula just wrapped up a seven-season run as NCIS: New Orleansis Dwayne Pride. Additional small-screen credits include roles on Star Trek: Enterprise, Looking at, Murphy Brown, design women and Mandrel.
