LAHORE: The Pakistan Medical Association successfully held its 14th Preparatory Course in Radiology. The five-day training course was jointly organized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) and the Radiological Society of Pakistan.
CPSP Vice President Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the course. The training program was attended by 35 local and foreign postgraduate trainee doctors. Experts gave them lectures and hands-on training while Dr. Noman Bashir Barlas from UK gave them an online lecture.
The President of PMA Lahore, Dr. Ashraf Nizami briefed the guest on the aims and objectives of the course. He also thanked the radiology faculty and said that the pass rate in radiology was over 70%, which is a record. He said that PMA will also organize pre-pediatric courses in the fields of orthopedic surgery, general surgery, gynecological abdominals, pediatrics, ophthalmology, pathology and medicine in the near future. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal paid rich tributes to PMA officials and radiology faculty. Appreciating the services of PMA, he said that CPSP will continue its scientific, research and training programs in collaboration with PMA. The participants received shields.
The commemorative shields were also given to the coaches. The President of PMA Punjab, Dr. Tanveer Anwar, presented the shield of honor to the special guest, Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal and the course director, Dr. Wajid Ali.
