New comics and middle-aged novels set in the Star Trek universe have been announced — Daily Star Trek News

AUGUST 22, 2022 – The universe of star trek literature is constantly expanding with no end in sight. Novels, comics, and other related stars continue to appear in Treklit’s stellar nurseries. TrekMovie informs us of new entries to come in the coming months.

Two video games will serve as the basis for comic and original treatments. First, a five-issue comic book series will tie into Star Trek: Resurgence. In this prequel series, beginning in November, the crew of the USS Resolved is tasked with an urgent stealth mission to retrieve Dr. Leah Brahms and keep her research out of enemy hands. (Star Trek: The Next Generation fans will remember Dr. Brahms from the third and fourth season episodes “Booby Trap” and “Galaxy’s Child”.) The miniseries will be written by Andrew Grant and Dan Martin with art by Josh Hood.

Following the release of the video game Star Trek: Prodigy: Supernova on October 14, a mid-level novel of the same name will be released on January 17, 2023. Robb Pearlman wrote the novel, in which the Protostar crashes into a particular star system and the crew becomes separated. Dal and Gwyn must work together to find their missing teammates while battling evil droids and a potential supernova.
