Madison Books hosted its grand opening and Business After Hours event on Tuesday, October 19. Guests were offered a range of cookies and coffee while waiting for the barbecue and 11: 1 catering to serve their delicious barbecue. Guests had a choice of smoked chicken or a pulled pork sandwich with the choice of a side. Friends, community leaders, business owners / employees, chamber members and local citizens came together to enjoy great food, fun and great camaraderie.
Madison Books is owned and operated by Kevin and April Davis. Their bookstore has a diverse selection of books, new and used, that are sure to please the taste of any bookworm. They offer interactive children’s books, adult coloring books, trinkets and more. Madison Books is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 254 SW Range Ave, Madison.
The next Business After Hours will be hosted by the Senior Citizens Center, located at 1161 SW Harvey Greene Dr., Madison. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 16 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Madison County Chamber of Commerce sponsors the monthly Business After Hours events, hoping to help promote and advance the local community through a favorable business climate. The chamber hopes that with these once-a-month mixers, other business owners and the community at large will get to know each other better and familiarize themselves with what small businesses, civic organizations and churches in Madison have. to offer.
Business After Hours events take place on the third Tuesday of each month at a House member’s office. So, mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 16 and be sure to join your friends and neighbors from 5 pm to 6:30 pm After-hours events are free and open to the public.
