‘Industrial Tour’ initiated by Garhgaon College Department of Commerce

SIVASAGAR: On June 8, Garhgaon College Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the NGO Society for Human Advancement and Promotion of Employment, conducted industrial tours covering the industrial areas of the District Center for Industry and Trade (DICC) located in Sivasagar.

The objective of the program was to inform students about the inner workings of companies. These tours come out of educational institutions to help students give practical and hands-on views of the industrial sector. Students also gain new learning experiences by introducing them to the broader world of business by facilitating interaction with industry experts. Devjit Deori, Director General of DICC, and Parag Goswami, Secretary General of SHAPE, contributed in this regard. The program aims to help students combine practical knowledge of real business with theoretical knowledge of business management. Nazira HS at the And MP School Students Event, ?

High School, Lakua Tantia High School, Sivasagar HS&MP School and Sarathi Junior College, Sivasagar also participated in the event. Dr. Mrinal Ghosh and Gautam Hazarika, Assistant Professors, Department of Commerce, Garhgaon College took over as custodians of the event. Dr° Meghali Bora, Assistant Professor Shri Anil Tanti, Dr° Mintu Gogoi, Namami Dutta have particularly contributed in this regard.
