SiteOne Landscape Supply has introduced a pair of LESCO fungicides: LESCO Drax and LESCO Stronghold Fungicide SC.
LESCO Drax is a preventive contact fungicide for golf courses that provides control of multiple diseases including dollar spot, brown patch and leaf spot.
Containing 4.17 pounds of fluazinam active ingredient per gallon, the fungicide multi-site contact active ingredient has no known resistance and can be applied up to 12 times per year. LESCO Drax is a broad spectrum fungicide used for disease control on golf courses only.
“The innovation behind the new LESCO Drax makes it the only turf fungicide in the FRAC 29 group,” said Brian Rowan, vice president of category management at SiteOne. “Drax’s unique chemical class and multisite mode of action results in minimal risk of fungicide resistance. When combined with chlorothanlonil fungicides (LESCO Manicure), it provides season-long contact protection for optimal efficacy.
LESCO SC Stronghold Fungicide Targets Pythium as well as Phytophthora and downy mildew diseases on ornamental plants in landscapes. The active ingredient, cyazofamid, exhibits a novel mode of action that classifies it in FRAC group 21 and makes it a candidate for resistance management programs.
LESCO Stronghold Fungicide is labeled for use in the following areas:
- Golf course
- Professionally managed sports fields
- Grass and seed farms
- Residential lawns
- Commercial grass areas
